Terms of use

Mise is operated by von Rexroad LLC (“we”). These terms cover using Mise on the web, through its API, and through AI assistants. By using Mise you agree to them. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Your account

You need to be at least 13 to have an account. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account, including what assistants you connect do on your behalf. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

What you publish

Keep it decent

No spam, ads, harassment, hateful content, unsafe food advice, or anything illegal. Anyone signed in can report content. Moderators may hide or remove a recipe, review or photo that breaks these rules; that action applies to the item, not your account, unless the abuse is serious or repeated.

AI assistants and the API

You can connect assistants and use the API for personal and non-commercial use within reasonable rate limits. Assistants reading Mise to answer someone's request is exactly what it's for. Don't scrape Mise in bulk, resell its content, or collect it to train models without our written permission.

Cooking safely

Recipes come from cooks like you. Times are estimates; ovens, pans and cooks vary. Use your judgment and safe food handling. Allergy and diet filters help, but they aren't a guarantee: Mise matches ingredients by name. It can't catch cross-contact or brand formulas, so check labels.

Grocery partners

When you send a list to a grocery service, that service handles the order, prices, substitutions and delivery under its own terms. Mise may earn a commission from it; that never changes which recipes or ingredients we show you.

The fine print

Mise is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, Mise isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and its total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the past 12 months or $50. We may change or stop features, and we may suspend accounts that break these terms. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell signed-in cooks before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Colorado.
